| Interprocess specializes in SCSI tape drives for P/390 systems. But we provide more than just tape hardware: | |
Sales
|
As an authorized tape drive reseller for several tape drive manufacturers,
we can help you select the tape drive capabilities best suited to your
needs. Our close association with the manufacturers assures you of the
most up-to-date information on new tape drive features and effective
resolution of P/390 compatibility issues.

Installation
|
With a base of nearly 600 installed tape drives on OS/2 P/390 systems,
we've gained years of experience attaching SCSI tape drives to all types
of IBM PC Servers. We make sure you get the right cables, P/390 configuration
validation tools, and hot-line assistance until your drive is up and
working.

Device
|
We wrote the SCSI3420 and SCSI3480 device drivers that are licensed by
IBM for PC Server S/390 systems. That means we understand the bridge
between mainframe tape CCWs and SCSI commands like no one else. When you
need to have a P/390 tape I/O trace analyzed, we can help you track down the
problem. And whether it's hardware or software, we can help you get it
fixed.

Mainframe
|
Interprocess has been an IBM mainframe software vendor since 1976. Our
legacy product line consists of cross-system, system-level enhancements
to the APL2 language under MVS and VM, including the AFM® shared
file management system.
We have the MVS, VM, and VSE operating systems running on our own IBM
P/390 Servers. So when you report a tape problem using DITTO, DFDSS,
FCOPY, or stand-alone DDR, we know what you're talking about.

Responding
|
When Interprocess became one of the early P/370 OEMs in 1992, we soon
recognized the need for 3420 and 3480 tape support in this environment.
By 1994 we introduced the first OS/2 P/370 SCSI tape device drivers.
We're still working to improve the usefulness of SCSI tape drives in the
OS/2 P/390 environment. Our "ISITAPE" device driver supports
the newer tape drive models. "XTAPE" provides efficient OS/2 backup and
restore capabilities with tape drive sharing between OS/2 and the P/390.
